RHE Curriculum Overview

A unique blend of Waldorf-inspired, Montessori, and UU Pagan approaches—structured around the Wheel of the Year and flexible enough for unschooling families.

Our Approach

Waldorf-Inspired

Nature-based learning, storytelling, rhythm, handwork, artistic expression, and developmental stages.

Montessori

Child-led exploration, hands-on materials, follow the child's interest, practical life skills.

Unschooling Friendly

Use as a guide, not a mandate. Pick what resonates, skip what doesn't. Interest-driven deep dives encouraged.

UU Pagan Values

Seven UU Principles woven throughout. Earth-centered spirituality. Inclusive, questioning, justice-oriented.

Special Needs Friendly

This curriculum is designed with flexibility in mind. Adapt pacing, modify assignments, and adjust expectations to meet your child's unique needs—whether they're neurodiverse, have learning differences, or simply learn at their own pace.

Wheel of the Year Structure

Our curriculum is organized around the eight Sabbats, creating natural learning cycles aligned with earth's rhythms.

How to Use This Curriculum

Structured: Follow lesson plans, complete assessments, track grades

Relaxed/Eclectic: Use as a guide, adapt freely, mix with other resources

Unschooling: Use as inspiration, follow child's interests, document learning naturally

Assessment & Advancement

In our homeschool, I require 80% mastery before advancing to the next level. This ensures a solid foundation before moving on.

Whether you use the same requirement is entirely up to you—adapt the curriculum to fit your family's needs and philosophy.
